through the Mt. Holly Library.
What is Universal Class?
Recorded Books’ Universal Class is an educational service providing high quality online courses for patrons (generally high school age and older) interested in the lifelong pursuit of knowledge for either personal or professional reasons. Patrons register online, participate in the classes online at their own pace, correspond with instructors online and have up to six months to complete an individual class. Universal Class supports lifelong learning and enhances not only social inclusion, active citizenship and personal development, but also employability. Class content covers a wide range – from hobbies (arts and crafts, dog training, photography) to job skills (writing improvement, medical billing, computer programming, domestic violence counseling) to education and test preparation (writing for children, general science, Algebra, Homeschooling Strategies) – and much more! Your library will now be able to offer more than 500 online courses to patrons.

To access the Universal Class site and register for online classes, you will need your Mount Holly Town Library barcode number. A library volunteer or the librarian can provide it to you. You may also request your barcode number via email: mthollylibrary@gmail.com

You will need to create an account and have a valid e-mail address to sign up for courses.
You are welcome to enroll in up to 5 courses.
You have up to 6 months to finish each course.
You have access to your course 24/7 via the Internet.
Attend class and do assignments on your schedule.
Each course has a real instructor who you may communicate with using e-mail.
These are non-credit courses and are provided for your personal enrichment
These courses are not intended to be a substitute for any state, government, licensing, or educational requirements.

Vermont Department of Libraries.

Library or Community Room for Your Next Event
The Library and Community Association meeting room is available for classes, concerts parties, etc. For community events that are free and open to the public, there is no charge; however, ALL events require a completed space use agreement form before approval. Forms can be picked up at the library or by emailing mthollylibrary@gmail.com . Perfect for your next birthday party, baby/wedding shower or anniversary party.
